Advanced Ordernumbers for VirtueMart

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Plugin development ceased, all plugins made available freely (GPL)

With great sadness we have to announce that we are ceasing development of all our VirtueMart, WooCommerce and Joomla plugins. Effective immediately, all our plugins -- even those that were paid downloads -- are made available for free from our homepage (GPL license still applies), but we cannot and will not provide any support anymore.

It has been a great pleasure to be part of the thriving development communities of VirtueMart as well as WooCommerce. However, during the last year it became painstakingly clear that in addition to a full-time job, a young family and several other time-consuming hobbies at professional level (like being a professional singer) the plugin development and the support that it requires is not sustainable and is taking its toll. It has been an honor, but it is now time to say good bye!

Invoice and order numbers 03 Jul 2016 19:21 #1

Hello,

could it be possible to set an individual invoice number with your "VM Advanced Ordernumbers"-Extension?
Because selling goods in Germany external from VM should have continue numbers, too...

e.g.
1002 VM-Invoice
1003 external
1004 external
1005 VM-Invoice
...

Dear Mathe,
Incrementing counter also for orders generated not through VM is not so simple and not directly supported (VM is never involved with those external orders, so it also has no chance to get the new number!).

However, you can manually modify the counter in the plugin configuration whenever you get an external order.

If the external orders are not manual orders (e.g. in a shop where customers pay cash, rather than through the webshop), but through another computer system, then you can directly modify the counter in the mysql database from that other system. For a quick description of the database table, see the second point of our FAQ .

Best regards,
Reinhold
