IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Plugin development ceased, all plugins made available freely (GPL)

With great sadness we have to announce that we are ceasing development of all our VirtueMart, WooCommerce and Joomla plugins. Effective immediately, all our plugins -- even those that were paid downloads -- are made available for free from our homepage (GPL license still applies), but we cannot and will not provide any support anymore.

It has been a great pleasure to be part of the thriving development communities of VirtueMart as well as WooCommerce. However, during the last year it became painstakingly clear that in addition to a full-time job, a young family and several other time-consuming hobbies at professional level (like being a professional singer) the plugin development and the support that it requires is not sustainable and is taking its toll. It has been an honor, but it is now time to say good bye!

Hello. I looked for this in the forum but did not find an answer (sorry if there's one and I missed it).

I need to set up shipping based on weight bands and countries, but also including and insurance fee in the shipping cost. This insurance would be 1% of the order total. This would be an example of what I need:

Weight<2.5; Shipping=(12.62 + amountWithoutTax * 0.01)

I tried to configure this on the demo server, but for some reason my cart is always empty (even if I add products to it) and therefore my "amoutWithTax" variable is always equal to zero.

My question is if with the paid version of the plugin I would be able to set this insurance fee.

Thank you very much!

Dear Yako,
Your calculation looks okay and should work like this. Sorry for the problems with the demo server, for some reason all javascript was disabled in the VM config. It should now work again.

Best regards,
Reinhold
