Shipping by Rules for VirtueMart

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Plugin development ceased, all plugins made available freely (GPL)

With great sadness we have to announce that we are ceasing development of all our VirtueMart, WooCommerce and Joomla plugins. Effective immediately, all our plugins -- even those that were paid downloads -- are made available for free from our homepage (GPL license still applies), but we cannot and will not provide any support anymore.

It has been a great pleasure to be part of the thriving development communities of VirtueMart as well as WooCommerce. However, during the last year it became painstakingly clear that in addition to a full-time job, a young family and several other time-consuming hobbies at professional level (like being a professional singer) the plugin development and the support that it requires is not sustainable and is taking its toll. It has been an honor, but it is now time to say good bye!

hi! i am new at this, just downloaded the advanced shipping rules for virtuemart.

i have 15 different products in my shop.
5 of these products are free shipping (downloads)
5 of these products needs to be shipped by letter (no postage fee).
5 of these products needs to be shipped in a roll. (fee for roll 55)

the easy way for me was to set it like this:
Weight<1; Shipping=0
Weight<50; Shipping=7
Weight<100; Shipping=14
Weight<250; Shipping=28
Weight<500; Shipping=42
Weight<1000; Shipping=56
Weight<2000; Shipping=70

But if someone orders one (or more) of these 5 products where i have a postage fee (55) it needs to be added. 55 is the price no matter how many products are ordered.

i tried to add:
Name=Package fee; "sku1, sku2, sku3, sku4, sku5" in SKUs; Shipping=55

but that is not correct, is it?

Dear apelsinkal,
For such an additional charge, there is the ExtraShippingCharge feature, which is added to whatever shipping the subsequent rules determine. Your SKU check is also not entirely correct. Here is how I would do it:
Condition=contains_any(SKUs, "sku1", "sku2", "sku3", "sku4", "sku5"); ExtraShippingCharge=55
Weight<1; Shipping=0
Weight<50; Shipping=7
Weight<100; Shipping=14
Weight<250; Shipping=28
Weight<500; Shipping=42
Weight<1000; Shipping=56
Weight<2000; Shipping=70

Best regards,
Reinhold
