IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Plugin development ceased, all plugins made available freely (GPL)

With great sadness we have to announce that we are ceasing development of all our VirtueMart, WooCommerce and Joomla plugins. Effective immediately, all our plugins -- even those that were paid downloads -- are made available for free from our homepage (GPL license still applies), but we cannot and will not provide any support anymore.

It has been a great pleasure to be part of the thriving development communities of VirtueMart as well as WooCommerce. However, during the last year it became painstakingly clear that in addition to a full-time job, a young family and several other time-consuming hobbies at professional level (like being a professional singer) the plugin development and the support that it requires is not sustainable and is taking its toll. It has been an honor, but it is now time to say good bye!

addition of different shipping costs 03 Oct 2018 16:46 #1

Hi

While I'm completely aware of the fact, that the plugin is not designed to set shipping costs per product, I'm confronted with a request of a customer, forcing me to experiment with calculating different Tax

We have about 11 different product lengths, according to which we set the ShippingWithTax cost.
Those costs must increase with each added product of the same length, which works perfectly adding *Articles at the end.

The problem now is the calculation of all different ShippingWithTax costs (seems as the customer wants to get rich with shipping costs ;-)) of all different length:

I tried to realize this with the following example

Variable=Cat1; Value=MinLength==20; ShippingWithTax=20*Articles
Variable=Cat2; Value=MinLength==45; ShippingWithTax=45*Articles
Variable=Cat3; Value=MinLength==250; ShippingWithTax=250*Articles

Variable=myCost; Value=Cat1+Cat2+Cat3
ShippingWithTax=MyCost

Unfortunately this does not work.

Do you got any hint what my mistake could be / or do you even have a better solution?

thanks a lot
