IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Plugin development ceased, all plugins made available freely (GPL)

With great sadness we have to announce that we are ceasing development of all our VirtueMart, WooCommerce and Joomla plugins. Effective immediately, all our plugins -- even those that were paid downloads -- are made available for free from our homepage (GPL license still applies), but we cannot and will not provide any support anymore.

It has been a great pleasure to be part of the thriving development communities of VirtueMart as well as WooCommerce. However, during the last year it became painstakingly clear that in addition to a full-time job, a young family and several other time-consuming hobbies at professional level (like being a professional singer) the plugin development and the support that it requires is not sustainable and is taking its toll. It has been an honor, but it is now time to say good bye!

I am using this rule "Shipping=6*weight" to calculate shipping cost and it gives 0,01 as shipping cost. The product weight (2.000)in VM display´s correct on the product page. if I change the rule to "Shipping=6000*weight" I get 6,00 as shipping cost.
Could this be an error in the VM template?

I am using: Joomla! 2.5.11 and VM 2.0.20b with Yagendoo template.

That sounds like you have different weight units (e.g. 2 grams in the product settings, but kilograms in the shipping plugin configuration). Are you sure you have the correct weight units set in the product weight and in the plugin configuration?

Yes I am sure that the weight units are correct both on the product and in the plugin. I installed the plugin on another site to check and used an rule with zip and weight and everything works perfect there. Only difference between the sites is that that the site with the problem is in english but the site where it works is in Icelandic.
I will check again if the weight units are correct to be absolutely sure.

Can you please also make a screenshot of:
-) The shipment method configuration page
-) The product Dimensions & Weights page of the corresponding product
-) The "Configuration" -> "Shopfront" config page, where the default unit is set.
and send me the screenshot (by e-mail or private message).

With that information I hope be able to reproduce your problem, because so far i have not been able to reproduce it. From your description it seems that somewhere a factor 1000 gets lost, but I really need to be able to reproduce the problem to track it down further.

Thanks,
Reinhold
