IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Plugin development ceased, all plugins made available freely (GPL)

With great sadness we have to announce that we are ceasing development of all our VirtueMart, WooCommerce and Joomla plugins. Effective immediately, all our plugins -- even those that were paid downloads -- are made available for free from our homepage (GPL license still applies), but we cannot and will not provide any support anymore.

It has been a great pleasure to be part of the thriving development communities of VirtueMart as well as WooCommerce. However, during the last year it became painstakingly clear that in addition to a full-time job, a young family and several other time-consuming hobbies at professional level (like being a professional singer) the plugin development and the support that it requires is not sustainable and is taking its toll. It has been an honor, but it is now time to say good bye!

we have two manufacturers that charge shipping rates manufacture 1 has a flat rate no matter how many products are purchased from that company.
the other manufacturer 2 shipping rate is based on which country is the product is shipped to. The rest of our products are free shipping.
How do I set this for the manufactures and the get the cart to charge the correct shipping based on what is in the order
for example
two products ordered from man 1 plus one product from man 2 being sent to the USA plus 5 products with free shipping

Dear m3lvm,
With the advanced version of the plugin, I would use rules like the following. The country-specific costs of Manufacturer 2 are typically handled by using (slightly) different rulesets for different countries / country zones.

Let's assume, Manufacturer 1 has ID 42 and charges $111. Manufacturer 2 has ID 43 and for the current country charges $2 per item:
Variable=Man1; Shipping=0
Variable=Man1; Condition=contains_any(manufacturers, 42); Value=111
Variable=Man2; Shipping=2*evaluate_for_manufacturers(Articles, 43)
Shipping=Man1+Man2

Best regards,
Reinhold
